Using ChatGPT To Give Me An Analysis On The 2024 Seattle Mariners

As crazy as it may sound – I have never used ChatGPT for anything. I have always had the curiosity to see how it would work, but I always told myself “leave it to the pro’s”. When in reality using ChatGPT has nothing to do with being a professional. I was curious to see what ChatGPT had to say about the 2024 Seattle Mariners. I was a little surprised with some of the factual content that was provided. Of course, there were a few little hick ups and corrections that needed to be made.

A few of the errors that ChatGPT had in the analysis was the mentioning of Jarred Kelenic as a young start for the Mariners. Kelenic was traded this offseason to the Atlanta Braves, and always wasn’t much of a “star” during his tenure with the Mariners. There were glimpses of “what could be”, but not a star by any means. ChatGPT also goes on to mention that the Mariners added veteran depth to the starting pitching rotation. Seattle kept the same starting pitching core from 2023 going into the 2024 season.

What did I learn when using ChatGPT? I learned that even AI is capable of making mistakes. Even though it was was close in analyzing the 2024 Mariners, it still provided me players names that are no longer with the team (Kelenic). When it comes to trusting and using ChatGPT or any other AI service, I would trust it to help me get started on a topic or discussion. I would then go on my own from their to make any corrections. No need to solely rely on AI to help me create any content that needs an in depth analysis.
